Early Life and Family
Jeff Bezos was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Jacklyn Gise Jorgensen and Ted Jorgensen. His parents divorced when he was a toddler, and in 1968, his mother remarried Miguel “Mike” Bezos, a Cuban immigrant who later adopted Jeff and gave him his surname.
