Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter, born on May 11, 1999, is an acclaimed American singer, songwriter, and actress, renowned for her versatility in both music and film. She first rose to prominence starring as Maya Hart in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World (2014–2017), eventually signing with Hollywood Records. Over the years, Carpenter has built a remarkable music career, releasing multiple studio albums including Eyes Wide Open (2015), Evolution (2016), Singular: Act I (2018), Singular: Act II (2019), Emails I Can’t Send (2022), and Short n’ Sweet (2024).

Early Life
Sabrina Carpenter was born in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and grew up in East Greenville with her parents, David and Elizabeth Carpenter, and three older sisters. She was homeschooled and began sharing her musical talent on YouTube at age 10, posting covers of songs by Christina Aguilera and Adele. To nurture her musical ambitions, her father built a home studio. In 2009, she competed in The Next Miley Cyrus Project, finishing in third place. Carpenter is also the niece of actress Nancy Cartwright.
Personal Life
Carpenter’s romantic relationships have often attracted media attention. She dated actor Bradley Steven Perry (2014–2015), and between 2020 and 2023, she was linked with Griffin Gluck, Joshua Bassett, and Shawn Mendes. In December 2023, she began dating Irish actor Barry Keoghan, moving together into a $4.4 million Hollywood Hills home, though reports indicate the couple ended their relationship by December 2024
Career
2011–2014: Disney Channel Beginnings
Carpenter made her acting debut in Law & Order: SVU (2011), later appearing in The Goodwin Games (2012) and performing in China’s Gold Mango Audience Festival. She voiced Princess Vivian in Sofia the First and recorded “Smile” for Disney Fairies: Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust. In 2013, she was cast as Maya Hart in Girl Meets World, where she also performed the theme song alongside Rowan Blanchard. That same year, she signed with Hollywood Records, releasing her debut single, Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying, co-written by Meghan Trainor, and contributed songs to Disney projects including Frozen’s “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”.
2015–2017: Eyes Wide Open and Evolution
Carpenter’s debut album, Eyes Wide Open (2015), featured the lead single We’ll Be the Stars, debuting at #43 on the Billboard 200. She starred in Adventures in Babysitting (2016) and voiced Melissa Chase in Milo Murphy’s Law. Her second album, Evolution (2016), produced hits like On Purpose and Thumbs, the latter topping Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100. Carpenter’s sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet (2024), debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200, producing hits like Espresso, Please Please Please, and Taste. Please Please Please reached #1 on the Hot 100, and the album earned six Grammy nominations, winning Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance. She became the first female artist to hold the UK #1 and #2 spots simultaneously for three weeks, and her deluxe edition included a Dolly Parton collaboration. Carpenter also launched her first arena tour and released A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter.
