Ajju Bhai (Total Gaming): India’s Biggest Gaming YouTuber with Six Channels and a Massive Fanbase
Ajay, widely recognized online as Total Gaming and fondly known as Ajju Bhai by his fans, stands as India’s most popular gaming YouTuber. Born in 1994 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the 30-year-old digital creator rose to fame through his dynamic live streams of Garena Free Fire, one of the world’s top battle royale games.
With a staggering 41.1 million subscribers on his main YouTube channel, Total Gaming, Ajju Bhai holds the title of India’s most-subscribed gaming creator. His success extends across six YouTube channels and a powerful presence on other social media platforms, solidifying his status as one of the most influential figures in the Indian gaming community.
Total Gaming’s Career Journey
Ajay, better known as Total Gaming, began his gaming journey back in 2015, starting with low-end mobile titles such as Clash of Clans. His real breakthrough came in 2018 when he discovered Garena Free Fire, a game that was rapidly gaining popularity in India. Although his mobile device couldn’t handle the game’s performance requirements, Ajay didn’t let that stop him—he began playing on his PC instead. Once he mastered the gameplay, he decided to share his experiences with others, launching his YouTube channel Total Gaming on October 9, 2018.
At the time, PUBG Mobile dominated the Indian gaming scene, but Ajay chose to stick with Free Fire—a decision that turned out to be a game-changer. When PUBG was banned in India in September 2020, many players turned to Free Fire, leading to a surge in Ajay’s viewership and subscribers.
His first YouTube upload, “Free Fire: EPIC WIN! Total 24 Kills SQUAD Match Best Highlights Gameplay,” went live on December 2, 2018. Initially, he focused on creating Free Fire gameplay tutorials and highlight videos from his PC before eventually switching to mobile once he upgraded his phone. As his audience grew, Ajay began hosting live streams, primarily showcasing Clash Squad mode in Free Fire.
By 2020, he had expanded his content lineup beyond Free Fire, streaming popular titles such as Grand Theft Auto V, Spider-Man, and The Incredible Hulk. This diversification helped establish him as one of India’s few creators successfully streaming a wide range of games, cementing his position as a true pioneer in the Indian gaming community.
Today, Ajay plays popular games like Call of Duty, PUBG, Free Fire, and GTA5 on his Total Gaming channel, along with content on five additional gaming channels. These channels are dedicated to gaming videos, further expanding his reach. The Total Gaming channel is valued at an estimated $3 million, with Ajay earning primarily from his social media presence and esports competitions. On YouTube, his average earnings per video are around $7,000, excluding brand-sponsored deals, which could bring in over $10,000 per video. On Instagram, he could potentially earn over $7,000 for a brand-sponsored post.
Ajay, famously known as Total Gaming or Ajju Bhai, hails from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He completed his schooling at an undisclosed institution and later pursued a diploma, which he eventually discontinued. Despite being India’s most-subscribed gaming YouTuber, Ajay does not rely solely on YouTube for his livelihood. Professionally, he works as a software engineer, freelancer, and “growth hacker,” and is reportedly based in Surat, Gujarat. With strong technical skills in programming languages such as PHP and JavaScript, Ajay brings a blend of creativity and analytical expertise to both his professional and gaming pursuits.
Interestingly, Ajay has managed to maintain his anonymity throughout his career, choosing not to reveal his face or much about his personal life—something that has only added to his intrigue among fans.
Across social media, Ajay’s influence is immense. He commands a combined audience of over 52.23 million subscribers across his six YouTube channels, making him one of the most recognized gaming creators in the world. Beyond YouTube, he has 5.5 million followers on Instagram and over 276,000 followers on Twitter (X), further underscoring his dominance and impact within the Indian gaming and content creation landscape
